Many people want to help Haiti, but without building relationships, efforts to Help Haiti are fleeting. The cycle of poverty continues from generation to generation. Since 1996, we’ve been empowering students in Haiti to break the cycle of poverty through education. Since 2009, we’ve been making real relationships with students in Bayonnais, Haiti.
In the fall of 2019, World of God decided that we should grow our impact. We recognized that we have an incredible responsibility to the beautiful people of Bayonnais. We asked ourselves, “Are we reaching everyone we can possibly reach? Are we doing everything we can to share our mission with the world? Are we doing everything we can to help our friends in Haiti?”
As we measured our reach and evaluated our impact, we realized we needed to bring clarity to our mission if we wanted to grow our mission. It was at this time we engaged a branding consultant to help us tell our story.
Through many conversations with the World of God community, we discovered our student sponsorship program was the core of who we are. Not only is it our core, but it is bringing incredible, real hope to the people of Bayonnais, Haiti.
We want to grow our sponsorship program so even more students have an opportunity to receive an education and make an impact within their community. It is only when the next generation of Haiti is able to break the cycle of poverty through education that Haiti will see sustainable change. We needed to put our focus on the students: the real heroes of Haiti. This is what helped us see it was time for a rebrand of World of God to better tell this story.
This is not a change of who we are, but it is a “shift” in our communication.
Within this shift, we have simplified our message to better reflect our mission and vision. By repositioning our brand, we will efficiently tell our story to attract a larger, wider system of support. We want to raise awareness so more people can join us in the mission to empower and equip the next generation of Haiti through education. We now have the opportunity to tell our story in a more memorable way!
