Helen and her family brought Actionnel to the US to live with their family and sponsored his schooling at CPCC.  David Nichols met Actionnel through Helen Hunter, when South Mecklenburg Presbyterian Church was formed. David recalls how impactful visiting this community was to him &#8211; seeing how the school functioned and how priority was placed on making sure everyone had access to medical attention. They have served on both the Ewo Board of Directors and the Friends Empowering Haiti Board of Directors.
