After the great success of the first Career Breakfast in 2022, the Ewo office in Bayonnais organized and held the Second Annual Career Breakfast on May 26, 2023 for the 13th<\/sup> grade students at the ICB School. The breakfast was organized with the aim of guiding students on the choice of their professional career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aware of the reality of the labor market in Haiti, the team in Bayonnais organized a panel composed of professionals in the fields of Education, Medicine, Cooking (Chef), Administration, Music, Sewing, Electricity, Law and more. These professionals have been practicing  their profession for a number of years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We believe that it is necessary to orient students towards manual trades. We need to explain to future graduates that they can succeed and earn a living by opting for a  manual trade. That’s why we invited technicians who have already succeeded in their field to share their  professional experience,\u201d said Olguens Saint-Louis, our team leader of our office in Bayonnais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The speakers did not hide their satisfaction. Wadny Aristilde for his part believes that this initiative has been a great success since 80 percent of the students last year were able to start a higher education last year. “I greatly applaud this great initiative! I know students who have returned to university and technical school thanks to this training they received here in 2022. I pray that Ewo will continue with this kind of activity not only for the  sake of these students, but also for the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students on their part are very satisfied with this new edition.  “This is an unforgettable day in our lives. Thanks to Ewo!  Thank you to the international supporters for their help and love towards us.  We are so happy,\u201d said Ketsia Simeon, one of the 13th<\/sup> graders in her interview. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this activity, about 72 of 73 students (1 student was out sick) from the ICB took part in this career breakfast and expressed their satisfaction. According to Vital and Marie Prima; two police officers from the city of Gona\u00efves who were among the speakers, believe that EWO represents the future of the children of the community.
